Tenders and services

To enable the Corporation to deliver it’s numerous projects it needs to procure services and supplies from external sources. As a NDPB (Non-Departmental Public Body) the Corporation is required through it’s Financial Memorandum issued by Communities and Local Government to have a procurement policy that conforms both to relevant Treasury and Office of Government Commerce (OGC) guidance and which takes account of all relevant EU legislation.

In complying with this guidance/legislation it is the policy of the Corporation that all procurement shall be carried out through a fair, open and fully accountable process avoiding conflicts of interest both real and apparent, with the objective of achieving best value for money.

The main purpose of the procurement policy is to ensure robust procedures and therefore the majority of contracts are sourced from an established approved framework agreement (via the OGC). At this time the Corporation does not have, nor is considering, an “Approved Supplies” list.
