Planning Obligations Strategy
In 2008, Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation
commissioned Environmental Resources Management (ERM) to produce a
Planning Obligations Strategy. This Strategy sits alongside Section
106 of the Town and Country Planning Act (1990) by ensuring that
developers contribute towards the costs of infrastructure and
services that the Development Corporation considers necessary to
allow developments. Contributions may be either financial or
involve direct works.
