South Stifford, West Thurrock
The vision is to revive South Stifford and create a balanced
community through the creation of a local
centre for South Stifford providing community facilities and shops.
The redevelopment of inappropriately
located and unattractive industrial sites will provide a range of
new homes, together with new and
enhanced open spaces and enhancement of the river frontage.
The development framework identifies a number of opportunity
sites:
- Drapers Yard – residential led development
with local services and open space
- William Ball – residential led development
with open space
- Commodore Kitchens – residential led
development with local centre and open space
- Fiddlers Reach – high density riverfront
residential led development with new public open spaces,
business uses and cafes, restaurants, local retail and community
space
