Why Thurrock?

Thurrock encompasses a large portion of the M25, providing easy access to all parts of the capital and the wider south-east region. Most towns in Thurrock have rail connections that connect them to the heart of the City, as well as granting access to the burgeoning business districts of the Docklands and Canary Wharf.

With the 2012 Olympic Games rapidly approaching, there has never been a better time to invest Thurrock. By 2012, London’s economy is expected to grow by £50 billion and by 2020 will have become the fourth largest city economy in the world. Much of the investment has taken place in the East London boroughs which neighbour Thurrock, providing an enormous array of business opportunities.

Such growth is not the only incentive to get involved in London. The city is regarded as one of the world’s most open and culturally diverse cities which fosters a culture that embraces innovation and creativity.

Thurrock shares these attributes but without the financial cost of doing business in the capital. As a whole, operating costs for a business in Thurrock are up to 20% cheaper than in the city, inclusive of property and workforce costs.

Road
Thurrock is superbly placed at the crossroads of major road networks, yet is with a short drive of the city and centre of London.

The River Thames has been pivotal to Thurrock’s life through the centuries but has never been more important with one of the world’s biggest port developments planned.

Within an hour of Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports, Thurrock is also within 20 minutes of London City Airport and close to the growing
